The
Tri-Cities Miata Club is a group of enthusiastic Miata owners in the
Tri-Cities area of Tennessee-Virginia. Our members come from East
Tennessee and Southwest Virginia. Anyone with a Miata is welcome to
join us at any of our
drives, meetings, or other events.
Annual Miata Event
Each year the Tri-Cities Miata Club hosts an event that has become one of the best in the Southeast. Zoomin' the Mountains of East Tennessee (ZTMOET) gives Miata enthusiasts the chance to gather and show off their Miata ride, drive The Snake and other outstanding mountain roads, compete in an autocross, and even zoom their Miata around the Worlds Fastest Half Mile - The Bristol Motor Speedway!

The most popular club activity is always the drives. Except during the dead of winter, we will have at least one drive every month. The drives usually last most of the day. A couple times a year we will take an over-night trip, such as Miata's At Myrtle Beach, Renfro Valley, Highland Manor Winery, and the Jack Daniels Bar-B-Que cook off in Lynchburg Tennessee.
Monthly Meetings
The Club meetings are held on
the first Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m., alternating between
Kingsport and Johnson City. The Johnson City meetings are held at the
Holiday Inn Hotel, 101 West Springbrook Drive (map)
and the Kingsport meetings are held at Golden Corral on Eastman Road (map) .
Members typically arrive around 6:00 for dinner before the meeting
starts at 7:00. These meetings are a great way to meet the club
members, find out about upcoming events, share Miata tips, and show off
the cars. We always try to line up the cars in the parking lot --
it's very impressive!
Tech Days
Several times a year we meet at Bill Gatton Mazda and spend several hours with the guys in the shop. They put our cars on the lifts and look for possible problems and give technical advice on the best selling two seater convertible ever! Tech Days are open to Tri-Cities Miata Club members only.
